Since 1926, Kanakuk Kamps has been providing great outdoor summer sports camps that promote personal growth and Christian character. Each year Kanakuk hosts over 14,000 “kampers” ages 7-18 in its eight summer camps for an Exciting Adventure in Christian Athletics.

Kanakuk was founded in 1926 by C.L. Ford in Branson, MO, on the shores of Lake Taneycomo and was originally a camp for boys. It was purchased in 1955 by Spike and Darnell White who built a corresponding girls’ camp, Kanakomo, in 1958. In 1976, the baton was passed to Joe and Debbie-Jo White. In the years since, another 7 camps have been added in Kanakuk Kamps. Kanakuk has also extended its ministry to urban and disadvantaged youth through Kids Across America (KAA) and to families with its new K-Kaua’i camp.
